A little of this and a little of that

Who knew that I would end up being obsessed with photography? I had no idea what the photography world had to offer - for years I have been stuck working as an engineer with absolutely no creative outlet. I tried writing, I tried painting, I tried knitting and finally, I think I found the one thing that is allowing me to vent creatively!
I figured I would get bored of it quickly as I do most things I pick up, but each time I have a portfolio building session, I only get more excited and look forward to the next one I can book!

Our official photography business and website will launch in the beginning of April, but I wanted to share some images that I've managed to catch during some of my recent sessions.

If anyone in the Augusta area is interested in helping me build my portfolio (you could be featured on our website), please send me an email!!

A Marry Occasion

During one of my salon visits to La Dolce Vita, I struck up a conversation with the woman that shaped my eyebrows. Meredith was so easy to talk to, that you just immediately wanted to become her friend. It was weird - I normally don't warm up to people that quickly. But nonetheless, I became very chatty with her instantly. She invited me to a Bridal Show and I thought it was to support the salon. I thought - sure - why not? I'm all about supporting that salon - it is fantastic! Later on, I found out that Meredith and her husband Kyle own La Dolce Vita and she co-created the Bridal Show along with Gloria.

I immediately made plans to get as many images to document the day for Meredith. But first - I started the day off at the salon with Jonathon to get my hair did! Jonathon is aprrenticing and has done a fabulous job with my hair. I'm all about supporting the newbies! I followed my hair appointment up with a detox skin treatment / massage on the spa side of La Dolce Vita and then headed down toward the Lee Knox Conference Center. I went a little early to get some images of everyone getting ready...Meredith was completely into the make-up

I managed to snag a few pics of some of the gorgeous models...

The boys were a little harder to find since they didn't need as much prep time...and they couldn't figure out how to NOT look at the camera!!

It turned out to be a fantastic bridal show! There were quite a few vendors out there and the fashion show was wonderful. I didn't have the right lighting for the fashion show, so I only caught one good picture!

Please check out La Dolce Vita Salon and Spa next time you're in need of a cut, color, facial, massage, waxing, or manicure!
